A collaboration
MURRE x POPE
When Christophe approached his friend and groomsman, Paul Murre, with an idea for a unique wedding project, it marked the next step in their ongoing creative partnership. As Paul’s ceramics hobby had evolved into a growing brand with Christophe’s guidance, their collaborations had deepened. It was only natural, then, that when it came time to plan his wedding, Christophe would turn to Paul for something special: a limited series of bespoke olive oil pourers for the wedding party and a select few special guests.
The idea was simple yet personal. Christophe envisioned a collection of olive oil pourers, each one a memento of the collective journey his guests would be taking to Provence for his wedding—small tokens to commemorate an important day. Paul invited Christophe into his studio, where the two collaborated on every detail. From refining the shape to experimenting with glazes, the process was as much about the friendship and shared vision as it was about the final product.
Though Paul led the project, Christophe was deeply involved in the process. From selecting the initial designs to personally taking part in the glazing process, Christophe ensured that each pourer reflected the care and creativity both had invested. These weren’t just functional objects; they were handcrafted pieces of art, made with intention and heart. Each pourer was designed to be as meaningful as it was beautiful, a keepsake Christophe hopes will be treasured for years to come by the wedding party and family members who receive them.
At first glance, the olive oil pourers may appear similar, but closer inspection reveals the uniqueness of each piece. Every pourer bears its own subtle variations in shape, glaze, and finish—small imperfections that make each one distinct, a reflection of the time and effort put into its creation. Just as no two pourers are exactly alike, the bonds they symbolize are equally individual. Each pourer represents the unique connection between the bride, groom, and recipient, a testament to the special relationships that have shaped their journey. A celebration rooted in creativity, connection, and the distinct beauty found in every friendship and family tie.
A special thank you to Paul Murre, from the bride and groom, for agreeing to take on this project and for going above and beyond to seeing it through to completion. It couldn’t have been done without him. If anyone is interested in following his journey, the best place is here, on instagram.
